The Easy Way To Insert Images Into A New WordPress Post
If you are publishing your own WordPress blog, you probably already have a good idea about what you want to portray to your readers. There are times when it helps to insert an image to get the point across, a task that is relatively easy on a WordPress platform. Here are some simple steps to help you get started.
Choosing the image
Whether you have already written your post and you need to edit it, or you are trying to put one together, you need to decide on the image that compliments it the best. You can access your image from 3 basic sources.
1-From your personal files on your computer.
2-The gallery, which is a collection of previously uploaded images.
3-The set url from the image itself.
Uploading To Your Post
Once you have determined the image and the source, look for the “Add Media” button, located just above the editing tools. Assuming you are uploading from your computer, click on “Upload Files”, then “Select Files”, then choose the folder and the image you plan on using.
Making Adjustments
Images should always be credited and adjusted to size for your post, although it is recommended that you edit your image before uploading it. Images will appear in your media library and on the right of your WordPress platform, where you can add a caption, or make any other changes through the “edit image” link positioned below it.
Positioning Your Image
After clicking the “Insert into post” button, you will need to determine where you want the image to appear in your post. This can be accomplished by clicking the image and following through with the edit option. You will have 4 options to choose from, after which, you must update your changes.
1-none
2-left
3-center
4-right
Publish Your Post
After positioning your image, go ahead and preview the finished product to see if it is the way you like it. Remember, if you are not happy, you can always change it again. And there you have it, an image to provide your readers with something else to talk about, as you increase your readership.
