 Generally paid web hosting is for larger company or website that are already established and have been up and running for a while with their own steady flow of traffic. The only real disadvantage to using to paid web hosting provider is that it obviously will cost more because it is not free. However with paid web hosts you are able to purchasing package that provide you with everything you require for your website to be a successful. With a paid host you are able to get all the space you need and generally are not limited. Though there are fees if you do go over the amount of space you have purchased but by selecting your own packages this is less likely to happen. You are also given your won unique domain name with paid hosting. You don’t have to worry about any sub-domain nonsense. Moreover any advertising that it put on your website is money in your pocket not the other way around and you can’t argue with that.
